The Backseat Lovers are an American alternative rock band formed in Provo, Utah, in 2018. The lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Joshua Harmon, lead guitarist Jonas Swanson, bassist KJ Ward, and drummer Juice Welch. They gained prominence with their 2019 single "Kilby Girl," which reached number 39 on the Billboard Rock & Alternative Airplay chart. ​

In October 2022, The Backseat Lovers released their major-label debut album, Waiting to Spill, under Capitol Records. The album showcases their growth as artists, featuring tracks like "Growing/Dying," "Close Your Eyes," and "Slowing Down."
