The Robert Boyle Winter Gathering returns to the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) in Dublin, bringing together curious minds for a day of science, culture, discussion and discovery. The next gathering is scheduled for 23 January 2027, with the event forming part of celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of Robert Boyle’s birth.
Inspired by the legacy of the Irish-born scientist, the festival explores how science connects with wider culture and everyday life. The programme is designed for scientists and non-scientists alike, featuring talks, discussions and opportunities to consider thought-provoking ideas from different perspectives.
Held at the RDS in Ballsbridge, the event is easy to reach from across Dublin. Lansdowne Road and Sandymount DART stations are both within walking distance, while several Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland routes serve the area.
For anyone interested in science, history, philosophy and big ideas, the Robert Boyle Festival offers an engaging way to spend a winter day in Dublin.
