Matt Maltese is a British-Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer known for his emotive vocals and genre-blending style that fuses indie pop, rock, and chamber pop elements. Born on October 6, 1997, in Reading, England, he spent part of his youth in Canada before returning to the UK. ​

Maltese began his musical journey with the release of his debut single, "Even If It's a Lie," in 2015. He followed up with the EP In a New Bed in 2016 and gained further attention with the 2017 single "As the World Caves In," which experienced a resurgence on TikTok in 2021.

Maltese has announced his fifth studio album, Hers, set for release on May 16, 2025. He describes it as a collection of eleven songs "forged out of love, sweat and love," expressing a deep personal connection to the work.
