Rugby fans can start the New Year with a major provincial contest as Leinster welcome Ulster to Dublin for a United Rugby Championship fixture on Saturday, 2 January 2027. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm at Laya Arena, the redeveloped home of Leinster Rugby in Ballsbridge.

The meeting brings together two of Ireland’s leading provinces for an eagerly anticipated inter-provincial clash. With the fixture arriving just after the festive period, supporters can expect a lively atmosphere as the teams return to competitive action following the Christmas break.

Laya Arena provides a modern setting for the occasion, combining its long-standing rugby heritage with recently upgraded facilities. The venue’s location in Dublin 4 also puts the match in one of the city’s best-known sporting districts.

Whether you are following Leinster, travelling to support Ulster, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of live provincial rugby, this New Year fixture offers an exciting way to begin 2027. Arrive early to take in the matchday atmosphere before the evening kick-off.
